Good location, but the room had no windows
The personnel was at their highest! The location of the hotel is absolutely fantastic - close to all the center monuments and curiosities! Nearby there are a lot of cafes, foodshops and even a bookshop at a low price! Inside the hotel is very nice, a "family" like. The breakfasts were plentiful and enough for the whole first part of the day. The most important thing was that it was very silent during the nights and even days, I could sleep without any problems! In the whole I likes the hotel a lot and would like to return there during my next visit of Bruxelles.
Unfortunately, there were several points that I didn't like in the hotel, in the room. The bathtab was in the rust bleed lines that were disgusting. There were not even one hook or something for the sponge to hung and the heater was all in dust so after getting all went because of a heavy rain I didn't have anything to hung my wet stuff on! There are only one sorket - and it's in the bathroom! ыO when they gave me an iron it was like a joke because I had to iron on the floor next to the toilet. In the room the wardrobe shaked a lot nevertheless there were a lot of hangers! And there were one more detail - the TVset was wonderful but it shows only one channel with the same level of sound because the remote control didn't work at all. Hope all this breakages can be fixed very easily and the staying at the hotel will be turned into a fairytale!
The only good thing about the hotel is its location. It's situated really close to the very center of the city. Also it's very cheap though the breakfast is not included into the price. They cleaned every day and the stuff was nice and friendly.
It's awfully old and shabby. And definatly hasn't been renovated in years. The tiles on the bathroom walls were broken. The windows faced a noisy street and were not soundproof so it was rather difficult to sleep well all night. Though i've got to say they have a couple of rooms facing the yard. the breakfast is poor. But probably that's what you should expect if you pay $50 per night.
welcoming atmosphere & nice breakfast
Location - 7 mins walk to Grand Plaza, 30 seconds to metro stop. Friendly staff. Clean room.
The alarm on some other building in the yard was beeping every half a minute. We could hear it pretty well even with windows closed. As light-sleepers we had to use ear-plugs every night. Hotel staff promised to work on it, but did not manage to fix it.
Personal, place in the centre of city,
The are no any window in the room (
Nothing but close to city Actually it was totally shocking for me when i saw my room very small and it was on top roof what they are showing on is different than what is in actual. Seond issue is paid all dues through Booked.net but when i went there they said you have to pay now i said already paid they said it was just a reservation. So i have to pay them again.
very close to Brussels midi train station. so very easy to go to airport or other cities around walking distance to city center
the hotel was old fashioned. at night when walking to the hotel from the train station there are a lot of men, and only men in the street. No one disturbed us but it was quiet irritating as we were travelling as 2 girls.
A central venue close to tram and grand place with good and close cafes and resturants. Rooms good value for the money and clean though a little basic for some. Excellent lift to all 5 floors. Did not try breakfast as it was a little over priced and two near by cafes give better value and more choices. Gwesty rhesymol iawn ddim yn rhy bell o gaholfan hanesyddol Ddim llawer o Croeso gan y staff rhan amser ond ddim otts!
Breakfast which is extra was limited and overpriced...try nearby cafes ..better vlue and more choice. Some staff welcoming
Close to train station Brussels Midi, very close to the city centre. Friendly staff.
Hotel is a little bit dated and would need some refurbishment.
Basic hotel convenient ror the centre
Nice environment, close to city center and friendly staff.
TV had only very few English speaking channels
The location is good, it is around 15min from Midi station by walking, 15min from city center square.
The hotel is in a relatively quiet area, is budget-friendly and has all the necessities.
The position of the hotel was perfect, an easy stroll to the tourist area of Grand Place etc, far enough away from them to share the experience of the bars and cafes with local people and it felt pretty safe. The hotel was inexpensive and basic - ensuite wc and bath/shower - but if, like me you want your leisure break in the cityyou are visiting rather than the hotel this was ideal
The usual pain of handing over your door key every time you leave the building so that you can get it back from someone completely different next time you return - in the meantime worrying about the security of your personal belongings can impact on the time meant to be enjoying yourself - but it is typical here, in France, etc
